Wish List | Diptyque, Nars, Stila, Origins and Aesop.

These little trips into SpaceNk and Boots after work at the gallery are getting a little too frequent and subsequently my purse is a little  a lot, lighter. These trips have rapidly been building up my most wanted list of beauty bits and it seems i'm developing an Origins Ginger, cream blush and Diptyque obsession, oops.

1.First up is the Sensuous Skin scent by Origins in their delicious Ginger fragrance which i've haven't shut up about since i first got their Whipped Body cream in the same scent! I've since added the body wash to my collection to help enhance that summery fragrance, but alas, the perfume is still calling my name! The fragrance is made up of spicy ginger, bergamot, lemon and lime and is so different to anything i've ever smelt before. Yum.

2 & 5. Up next is one of the famous Diptyque duos, the mini candle in the Figuier fragrance and their best selling fragrance Philosykos. On one of my afore mentioned SpaceNk trips i happened upon the Diptyque section and immediately picked out the Philosykos fragrance upon the recommendation of this post by Lily Pebbles. The scent is fresh with fig and is almost woody and fruity at the same time? Diptyque describe as smelling like  a "greek summer, walking through an orchard of wild fig trees", i have to say i think that's pretty spot on! I like this smell so much and kept sniffing my wrist for the rest of the afternoon. I rarely fall in love with scents but this + the similarly scented candle might have to be added to my collection asap.

3. I finally got around to getting one of the well know Stila Convertible Colour's in Gladiola the other day as the shades i wanted (gerbera or lilium) were out of stock. I absolutely love the shade and how they look so glowy and natural on me and am desperate to pick op some more shades as i can tell i will certainly getting a lot of wear out of these this summer!

4. Another cream blush i've had my eye on in the Nars Cream Blush in Penny Lane which is a perfect everyday shade. If only my SpaceNk had more than two shades in stock! Sob.

6. This mask is one i've been meaning to add to my collection for a while now. I completely adore Aesop's packaging and this would look so nice on my dresser, plus i've heard it's contents are pretty magical too!

What are the products you've been lusting after recently?

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask | Review

I had been dying to get my hands on this mask ever since Kate from Gh0st Parties mentioned it in a post of hers raving about what it had done for her skin. After living in Australia for a few years manuka honey is something i'm quite familiar as it's native to Australia's neighbour New Zealand. Manuka honey is famous for its healing, antiviral and anti bacterial properties making it a wonderful beneficial treat for your skin.  Antipodes have used a traditional Maori remedy which draws moisture to your skin, whilst the pohutukawa bloom contains natures finest antioxidants to cleanse and draw out impurities. The mask is contains fragrances of vanilla pod and mandarin which i think smells divine and i think the  subtly sweet honey scent also comes though and smells so natural. I usually use of this on thoroughly cleansed skin or after using a mask to draw everything out so my pores are unclogged so this mask will work its magic properly! This mask has left my skin feeling so plump and smoothed and my skin felt so nourished afterwards. This is one of my favourite masks and i've had it quite a while now and will definitely continue to repurchase once its finished!

Topshop Highlighter "Crescent Moon" | Review

Topshop Highlighter in "Crescent Moon" £10

After a long day at uni last year i decided to head on over to Oxford Street on my way home to perk myself up a tad! As we all probably know, the Oxford Street Topshop is a wondrous beacon of lovelyless which makes all that battling through the tube tunnels at rush hour on the tube very worth it! I of course, ended up in the make-up section which i have to say was something i have never been in that much of a hurry to explore (oh how that has changed). The only thing that seemed to grab my eye was this gorgeous highlighter with its equally lovely name "Crescent Moon". This shade is definitely more wearable for a variety of skin tones as opposed to Topshop's other shade "Sunbeam" which is suited to girls with a darker skin tone! I think this colour also blends into your skin naturally as it's a more subtle colour. I use this with my real techniques contour brush swept across my cheek bones, down my nose, cupids bow and chin. I think this gives a subtle glowy look and isn't too sparkly or shimmery, something which i'm not too keen on!

Have you tried any highlighters from Topshop?

Stila "In The Light" Eye Shadow Palette | Review

I finally gave in to my most wanted make-up item after Christmas and i can safely say i'll never go back! Now, i will be the fist one to say i am no eye makeup guru by a long shot, mostly sticking to cream eyeshadows which are minimal fuss! I'll take whatever is thrown my way that is easy to apply, with minimal effort involved, but makes me look like i have tried a little, you know? This Palette by Stila immediately caught my eye with its really wearable neutral colour range and it's easy on-the-go compact packaging. It seemed to be popping up everywhere on blogs and the shades seemed so perfect for everyday wear. The palette contains 6 shimmer shadows and 4 matte making everyday and evening eye makeup looks easy to achieve in the one palette. It seems that everyones favourite shade (and stills no.1 best seller) is "Kitten" (top row, second on the left) which is a lovely pink neutral shade, but my personal favourite has to be "Champagne" (bottom row, far left) which is a gorgeous shimmery champagne shade which seems to suit my skin tone more than "Kitten". The other shades are "Bare", a matte ivory, "Gilded Gold" which is a bronzey brown shade, "Bliss" which is a matte mink colour, "Luster" a dark aubergine colour with gold shimmer, "Sunset" a shimmery bronze pink, "Night Sky" is a blue shimmer, "Sandstone"a matte brown shade and "Ebony" which is a matte black. The colours apply very smoothly and are very soft, pigmented and creamy. The palette also comes with a Stila Smudge Stick in shade Damsel (a matte chocolate brown) which retails on its own for £13!

A swatch of my favourite shade "Champagne".

Overall, i think this palette is brilliant value for money as you get 10 lovely quality shadows in wearable shades and an eyeliner to boot! I think this palette would be a perfect addition to anyones makeup collection as it's so versatile and can see this lasting me a lonnnnnng time!

Have you tried any Stila products or their eye shadow palettes?

Mini Haul | Boots

This is my (very) mini haul that i received yesterday through the post! Whilst shopping in Nottingham a last week, i spotted a few bits i'd been meaning to pick up in Boots but ended up getting some Clarins bits instead, and luckily so! I happened to be on the boots website a few days ago and noticed loads of offers on products that they don't have on in store itself, so i snapped myself up some bargains (or two in fact). Both the famous Dr Jart BB cream and the Una Brennan Firming mask had a a distinct price difference to that in store, with the BB cream being reduced to £12 from £18 and the Firming mask was down from £10.99 to £7.33! Dontcha just love a good bargain? I've just checked, and these offers are still running now, so if you had a few of these items on your  wish list go get them now! I shall do a far more in depth review soon but i tried to Firming mask and the Effaclar duo last night and so far i'm liking the results! The mask made my face tingle and left it lovely and plump afterwards, so looking forward to using that again!

Products I've Been Loving | Top 5

Hello everyone! This is my very first attempt at a favourites post and i thought it was a tad over due as there has been so many products i've been going barmy for these past couple of weeks! I've been loving even more than this but i've narrowed it down to my top 5 so as to not ramble on (and to save some more for later!) Also, absolutely adore my background on these images which is my brand new dress from Zara which i purchased a couple of days ago! Absolutely in love with the print and though i'd make the most of it in my post today and manage to worm it into my post somehow!

My first favourite is my recently purchased Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream by Origins. I had read a few reviews on this and was totally drawn in by the sound of the scent. I'm quite picky with scents and despise anything too sickly sweet or girly, opting for more spicy, woody scents instead. So (as you have probably guessed) this smells of ginger! Now, whilst that might sound strange with ginger being used outside your kitchen, i think the scent is subtle as it's combined with a light lemon, lime and bergamot notes. I personally think the ginger comes through quite a lot which i like, though it might be too much for some! I would definitely re-purchase this, as i've fallen utterly in love with it's unusual scent and look forward to using this everyday!

My skin had most definitely been playing up recently with a few blemishes here and there and so out came my trust Origins face mask! I'm sure you've all heard of this and those that haven't, please go buy it! I find this really does "rescue" my skin like no other product has before. It contains Zinc Oxide and Sulfur and Camphor which aim to refine rough texture of skin, absorb excess oil and get rid of any dead skin cells! I'll be sure to do a more in depth review on this soon as it's my favourite mask of the moment! This Clarins toner is a recent addition to my skincare regime and one i've only been getting into the past couple of nights. After only a few applications of this my skin has been so much smoother than normal and it's even begun to even our my skin tone already. You simply apply to a cotton pad and swipe all over your freshly cleansed face and leave it to work it's magic. I'm really excited to continue seeing the results of this after more use.

These two final favourites are two i've been loving combined together! After cleansing with my Origins Frothy Face Wash at night i apply the Trilogy Rosehip Oil, just two drops, and work it into my skin. After it has sunk in i apply my Origins Night-A-Mins. The two together feel just amazing and like i'm giving my skin such a treat every night. My skin looks so fresh and plump in the morning after using these two together, feel like i've struck gold with this combo!

I must apologise for the Origins heavy post! It's a brand i really enjoy using and can rely on for good, natural skincare that i know works! I recently got my sister on the bandwagon too!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Range | Review

Mmmmm, even just thinking about these Soap & Glory delights is making me want to run to my bathroom to go and sniff them! Not even joking, when i first got the Sugar Crush body scrub all i could was sniff it every time i went past, i love the scent that much. I'll start off by saying that before these products came along i wasn't all that fussed about soap & Glory as a brand. I felt their products were a bit samey and all had that very distinctively sweet Soap & Glory smell, which i personally, whilst i didn't dislike it, just didn't really float my boat all that much. The Sugar Crush range however, is a completely different kettle of fish! I actually bought the products separately after hunting through boots to find a body scrub and got one whiff of this and was sold. The range smells kind of what you would imagine cocktails in the Caribbean to smell like! The scent is very zesty and subtly sweet, definitely a wake-me-up kind of scent, perfect for mornings! The scrub is really really good too, which is always a bonus to it having a nice smell! I use this a lot on my shins to ward off dry skin and thinks it does an amazing job!  Using the body wash as well does help to maintain the fragrance on your skin and comes in some a massive 500ml bottle that you can't really go wrong! This range is also complete with a body cream but just haven't bought that due to my sensitive skin! This is by far my favourite range from Soap & Glory and definitely one to try if you want to steer away from that sickly sweet kind of smell!

Face Mask Storage | Anthropologie

My skin care obsession has been reaching new found levels of silliness recently and soon it may not even be able to fit on my dresser...! In the meantime though, i have had to come up with some little ways to minimise the room some of my beauty bits take up! One of my absolute favvvvourite stores in the whole wide world has to be Anthropologie and when i was in London i was constantly popping in to their Chelsea and Regent Street stores to purchase some of their to-die-for home ware. Whilst they also sell clothes i'm far more drawn to their home ware as it's so eclectic and fits my style down to the ground. Anthropologie's mugs are my personal favourite as for one they are massive and two they are just so beautiful, (i down right refuse to drink tea from anything else now). I did however find a use for my Kebaya mug and didn't quite have tea drinking in mind. I simply popped three of my favourite face masks in and voila, they take up less room, and it looks down right lovely on your dresser!

Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream | Review

In a recent order on one of my favourite beauty websites Naturisimo, i purchased this eye cream from one of my two favourite skin care brands Antipodes. Now, whilst i'm only 20 i've recently decided that the earlier i start looking after my skin the better condition it will be in in the future, hopefully leaving me looking younger with minimal wrinkles etc! Eye cream was obviously the next step in my skincare routine that i has previously been skipping out on in favour of using my everyday and night moisturiser on my eyes instead (very lazy). I obviously wanted something natural on my eyes as i didn't want to irritate them or let chemicals absorb into my eyes. This cream feels very rich but is not heavy in the slightest and is fragrance free which i think is a good first step for my younger skin. The cream contains 100% pure avocado oil, manuka flower & carrot seed which all sounds rather lovely to me and this also contains kiwi seed oil which is very rich in vitamin c to help soften and moisturise skin. The cream is supposed to be applied at "sunrise and sunset" and be patted in gently with fingertips to avoid damaging the eye area with pulling. I've been using this on my eyes for over a month now and you can barely tell i've touched it! A little definitely goes along way with this cream and it leaves my eye area feeling nourished and protected and like i'm doing something to help my eye area in the future! I think this has brightened the area a little too which is a little bonus! The Antipodes brand is really lovely on the skin and will be purchasing more products from them in the future!

Weekly Wish List | Spring Wants!

Even though the weather in the UK at the moment can hardly be described as spring, i though i'd try wish it here with a little wish list with some things i think are ideal for the season! Dungarees are a must in my eyes for spring, easy practical and can be ever so chic, this pair from New Look are a bargain and have that lovely acid washed look that will look lovely with bronzed skin (ahem, Clarins)! Number 2 is the lovely wildfox Sunglasses! I keep seeing these everywhere and i'm so tempted to just purchase them, but i can't seem to justify nearly £200 on sunglasses when we barely even have sun in the UK! Ah well, they shall remain firmly planted on my wish list for now. My third item is something which i've heard a bit about recently and i'm quite intrigued to see what it's like! The Clarins Exfoliating toner has been described as a gentler version of the famous Alpha H Liquid Gold, which when used every other night can transform the skin, leaving it radiant and glowing. It's basically a chemical exfoliant  which people have said isn't as harsh as Liquid Gold, which appeals to me much more! This lipstick by Aerin looks soooooo pretty, such a perfect spring shade AND the packing is just luscious. Whilst in the Debenhams beauty hall the other day i had a quick spritz of some perfumes i had been meaning to check out recently, this one by Stella definitely stood out with it's lily of the valley and earthy, mossy notes and i think its a contender for a new spring/summer fragrance! Finally is a product i've wanted for ages! Now i'm a sucker for anything that tells me i will achieve that bronzy glow (this is what happens when an English girl lived in Australia). I just love the fact its multi use product and will give me a golden glow whilst acting as a smoothing base for my makeup, just lovely!

(Almost) French Pharmacy & Boots Haul

Today's post is a little mini haul of all the things i've bought recently! Got a little Escentual delivery through my door  this morning and could barely contain myself when ripping it open (there nothing better than beauty deliveries!). Went a little mad with the French pharmacy skincare (really need to get myself to Paris) and got a few things i'd been after for AGES, namely the Nuxe Multi Purpose Oil and the cult beauty product Bioderma. Happy Alice for now, though my online shopping itch is already desperate to be scratched...

Finnallllly decided on the Trilogy face oil after seeing it had won lots of beauty awards! Used this this morning and my face felt so soft afterwards! Will do a full review after using it for longer though of course!

Got the beauty blogger and cult beauty favourite Bioderma after my makeup remover was on its last legs! Very excited to try this and see what all the fuss is about!

My legs have recently been very dry so i've been after this as i heard its brilliant for dry skin! Will also try this on my long locks and see how it fairs...

This avene thermal water spray was more of an impulse purchase as they had huge offers on Escentual on all French Skincare. It had rave reviews on the site and claims to generally calm and sooth skin which really appeals to me!

In little boots trip recently i took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and got myself some little bits i've wanted for ages (stupidly forgot to include my third item which was the bourgeois healthy mix foundation). These two Rimmel goodies really caught my eye because of their different take on the classic red lip. The Apocalips is in shade Big Bang and reminds me of the YSL Glossy Stains. It's a liquid lipstick and looks really pigmented and drys down to a stain after a few hours. The second is the Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in shade 107 which is a more plummy shade which is lovely!
